There is an interesting article on Mike Chamber's weblog about how to reduce the file size of your .fla files. Apprently Flash saves new data by appending it to the end of the FLA. If you remove something from the Flash movie (delete a Movie Clip), then Flash will just write a note in the FLA to not use that asset anymore. However, it is still contained within the FLA. Mike suggests using Save As with a new name forcing Flash to re-write the .fla only including current assets.Jon 1:56 PM Permalink
