After reading Getting Hicks done on Jon Hick's website I decided to look into BackPack to help with my incredibly rubbish memory. I did, I loved it I got all excited and quickly looked up Basecamp, I'd seen it before but had never used it so I signed up for a free account and decided to give it a whirl with a current freelance job I'm working on. I love it, my client loves it, he's going to recommend it to his company. I then told a mate in the UK about it, he decided to try it out for his company...he loves it and so does his client. It just makes so much sense, now all I want to do is get enough work to make a subscription worthwhile so I can have multiple projects to organise! The only problem at the moment is that Basecamp currently does not have any kind of Timesheet functionality, although there are rumours about this being in development, so I was looking into some simple ways to record time spent on a project. I looked in the Basecamp forums and various suggestions were made including Billing Orchard and AllNetic but then I came across this site, ClockWork via LifeHacker and I really like the simplicity although there is no way of grouping tasks so I probably won't end up using it, I just thought it was worth a mention.
