I have decided it is time to dust off the old cobwebs on freaksauce.com and I am currently implementing a complete design obverhaul rather than a realignment as I needed to create a consistent look and feel rather than the bits and pieces I have currently.Anyway during this process I have come across two very useful php classes which I think is worth posting about. The first is a class that saved me from crossing over to a CMS such as WordPress which I was considering, it is called Magpie RSS which has allowed me to integrate my weblog into my front page with ease.
The second is phpFlickr which as you can probably guess is a php wrapper for the Flickr api and has allowed me to pull in a few of my flickr photos without having to use a branded Flickr badge. I am still looking into what extra fun I can have with this class but for the time being I'm pretty happy just displaying my most recent photos.
I have a fair way to go with the build as I haven't even started on my weblog yet so maybe I should aim for the official May 1 CSS Reboot!
